Rapola- kvartetti

The Rapola Quartet was born of the Sääksmäki Soi! music festival. Its members, all professional orchestral and active chamber musicians and teachers in Finland, have played together in the festival’s many ensembles.

The Spring and Summer quartets on this disc were premiered by the Rapola Quartet in the Rydman at 80 gala concert broadcast by the Finnish Broadcasting Company (Yle) at the Sääksmäki Soi! festival in 2016. It was in connection with this concert that the idea of recording all four Season Quartets was hatched.
