Ensemble Transparent

Ensemble Transparent was founded in 2006 because of the inspiration by the trio of Claude Debussy. The idea was to search and commission music for this “perfect” instrumentation. Ensemble Transparent has ordered music from several finnish composers like in this recording is represented. Their repertoire also includes music from Claude Debussy, Kaija Saariaho, Arnold Bax, Sofia Gubaidulina, Toru Takemitsu, Nathan Currier, Juho Miettinen and Charles Koechlin as well as several arrangements for the ensemble. Ensemble Transparent’s recording has been supported by Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland.
